TTIP and Fast Track

For a moment it seemed that the free trade agreement TTIP had suffered a serious setback when the US Senate voted against a debate that would allow the extension of Fast Track.  (Fast Track is a way of speeding up the process of getting trade agreements approved by removing the power of Congress to make amendments). However, a subsequent vote now allows this debate to continue. (For the implications of TTIP for the NHS see http://www.patients4nhs.org.uk/eu-us-free-trade-agreement-or-ttip/.)
