Stephen Hawking highlights how the NHS is in crisis, with dangerous staffing levels, longer waiting lists and poorer quality of care because of political decisions resulting, e.g. in underfunding and cuts, the privatisation of services, the public sector pay cap and removal of the student nurses’ bursary. He also denounces the cherry picking of research findings to support politically driven initiatives, like the 7-day week.
