Ministers in denial about NHS’s financial crisis

The chairperson of St George’s Hospital Trust in London states that years of underfunding mean that next year the NHS faces a nightmare in which hospitals will not be able to afford to pay staff, patients will face lengthening delays for treatment, and targets for cancer and A & E care will not be met.  He says ministers are in denial about the seriousness of the situation.
